Writing new scenes into a story

As a piece of narrative writing, using the third person, ask the children to write the full story, concentrating on the characters of Sharon and Wayne.

Begin the story with Sharon leaving the house in the morning and going to pick up Wayne. When did she leave? Was Wayne there? Where did she go? Why? What about Wayne, why didn't he go to school? What kind of conversations did they have etc? How did they end up in the Warehouse? How did they feel when they were found etc?

If you wish, ask the children to create the next chapters of the story. Use the suggestions for the diary entries above.
