Pupils' Information Sheet
Your Role:
You are the Headteacher of Seyster High School.
Your pupils have been seen vandalising a local bus stop. It is up to you to find out who those pupils are and what really happened that afternoon.
- Decide who will be the Communicator, who will be the Investigator and who will be the Record Keeper.
- Log on to the Digicom where you will be able to read messages as they come in from the webmail.
-
Use the database of School Records to help you make a list of suspects and find out more about individual pupils.
-
Make sure you keep a record on the Incident Review Form of who you think is responsible and why. Be ready to hand these in at regular intervals.
-
Be ready at the end of the activity to present your ideas on 'who did it' and how you know to the rest of your class.
Communicator
- Read every message aloud to the rest of your group.
- It is your job to make sure every team member has heard every message.
Investigator
-
Use the clues you are given and the school records to create a list of suspects.
- Try to narrow it down to the actual culprits.
- If you can, have the school records on a different computer.
Record Keeper
- Keep a record of who your group thinks did it and how you have worked this out.
- Every 15 minutes or so, your teacher will ask you to hand in an Incident Review Form - it is your job to make sure this is up to date.
EVERYBODY - WORK TOGETHER, SHARE IDEAS, TRY TO WORK OUT THE TRUTH
